Experience Through Their Eyes

From my personal experience, this is the best place to have breakfast in Lake Tahoe. We tried the French toast and scrambled eggs and everything was absolutely delicious. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, Highly recommended!

Here for a Saturday morning breakfast. Easy parking. Avoid parking under the tree as I saw huge pine cones fall, missing a windshield. At 8a, it was not too crowded. Service was attentive and quick. Over medium eggs were perfect and the chicken fried steak with sausage gravy was delicious and filling. Great first time visit. Will be back again the next time I'm in town.

Tucked just off the main drag, this is a must-stop diner for all your classic favorites. The "Usual" hit the spot and avoided any hard thinking or deep menu diving on an early morning visit. This is one efficient operation. Very fast and friendly service, and everyone working there touched our table at least once. Food arrives hot and perfectly cooked. Coffee is great - and I got a full cup to go as well!

I visited all three Red Hut locations around Lake Tahoe during this trip, and I have to say the quality of service varied significantly. The worst experience by far was at the one located at 229 Kingsbury Grade Rd. The woman who took our order had an annoyingly unpleasant tone and didn't even bother to make eye contact throughout the interaction. She was extremely rude. After placing my order, I still politely said "thank you," but she didn't look at me or acknowledge it at all, she just walked away maybe racist ? That said, I still gave four stars for service overall, because the rest of the staff were genuinely great. I didn't want one bad apple to spoil the whole bunch Everything on the menu here is absolutely delicious and top-notch! Just hope you don't end up being served by the rude waitress.

LOVE coming here for breakfast in small group recommended because they are small. Also weekday is better because there are long waits in the weekends. Very affordable and very delicious food and specials.
